Nah, ini Professor yang jagoan tentang Organization Change.. Gaya ngajarnya asik seperti ngajak "main" tapi benar-benar ngisi dan interaktif. Ada beberapa sesi bersama beliau, yang terakhir kita belajar bikin perubahan dalam organisasi dalam bentuk simulasi dalam system laksana real banget. Asik, belajar mengantisipasi implication dari sebuah actions dan pengaruhnaya ke bottom line.

Three Perspectives on Organization Change


1. Strategic Design. Organizations are machines.
An organization is a mechanical system crafted to achieve a defined goal. Parts must fit well together and match the demands of the environment.
Action comes through planning.

2. Political. Organizations are contests
An organization is a social system encompassing diverse, and sometimes
contradictory, interests and goals. Competition for resources is expected.
Action comes through power

3. Cultural. Organizations are institutions
An organization is a symbolic system of meanings, artifacts, values, and routines. Informal norms and traditions exert a strong influence on behavior.
Action comes through habit.

Coba deh ask yourself, perusahaan Anda cenderung yang mana? Lalu kalo sudah untuk apa diketahui? Ya kalo ada renacana mau managing change, akan menetukan data apa yg dicari dan keputusan yg diambil. Sebaiknya jangan hanya terbatas satu prespektif, entar terbatas..
